Metal tools/structures turn pitch black! Please help!

I am in singleplayer and I have just started to build a base out of metal and as I place my first foundation it was fully pitch black and I don't know what is causing it please help.

Well you have probebly installed the fps fix you need to delete the line1.simpledynamiclightning and it will turn back normal i had the same problem
