Do you mean like storage units or walls? Because anything that's placed on a foundation already has rotation, but the structures snap onto the foundation.

When I Place a fence Foundation I don't know wich side is the outside and inside, if I Place a wall on it and it's be the wrong side I have to demolish and start over.
Sometimes it doesn't matter from wich side you Place it from, it's be wrong anyway.

I totally agree, specially with that fence foundation.
Maybe just put a highlight to the green ghost where the "outside" would be, and of course integrate rotation because it really is sometimes impossible to build it in the correct rotation because of the snap or not being able to walk to the opposite position.
