I bought this on xbox one preview yesterday and the game looks great. After a couple of hours I was getting at least a handle of it but just encountered some issues that if anyone could clarify would be much appreciated:

1) This may have been an error on my part, but I didn't note what sever I joined. When trying to get back on to the game, I couldn't find it, nor could I work out any filter to bring up previous servers I'd created characters on. I was reading online that there was a 'My Survivors' filter... but I could see this on the xbox copy and didn't know whether that was just on the PC version. There is a 'bookmarked' server filter, but again it wasn't listed there, and even when I tried to bookmark a server I couldn't! This seems such a basic thing, so maybe I'm missing something, but at the moment it's just annoying because I can't carry on. Or do I need to write down the server and search for it each time?

2) I started building a cracking little shelter, walls and all, then ventured too far for wood and unexpectedly was killed by those annoying massive flying wasps, whatever they are... I then did the random respawn with my character. Does this put you back in the same main area you died in, just not exactly the same place? Or is this something place completely random on the map? I know there should be a punishment to dying, but is my half built shelter I'd just spent an hour on just now basically gone?

Does getting a sleeping bag sort the respawn point issue? Or is it just beds?

Thanks for any help on these. Seems like no point playing until at least I know how to carry on with the same server!

Hey. First of all, welcome to Ark! Now for your questions. First, as far as I know, you must write down the server names. I've been playing on Xbox since release and have not found an alternative tothis. Bookmarks, as you said, seem broken and I don't have the memory skills to keep track of a handful of server numbers. Now second, when you die you get a list of respawn locations. When you select the respawn (I. E. South 1, East 2, etc) it will highlight an area on the map. That area is kinda sorta ish near where you'll spawn. As for finding your house, you just gotta use landmarks (Rivers, mountains, spawns, etc) and make a guess at where it is. Once you figure that out you can press X while holding your map and set up a marker based on the Coordinates.

Pretty much same thing just happened to me. I made my own lobby, I had a few hours in, built up a nice little starting base, had a few tames, and I just finished taming my first scorpion and in the naming process I heard on my head seat (boom, boom, boom) of heavy running feet and evidently was killed by a Carno.. And right after that happened the game crashed and put me back to the dashboard. So most likely my Dino's are gone, as I didn't know we had to write down the server name to get back to where we were incase something like this happened. But on the bright side, it was only about 4 Dilo's and a Scorpion.. And a thatch base, with some wood walls.. Now if I would've tamed a Rex/Spino that takes a lot of time, I would've been really pissed not knowing what I know now... So from now on I'm taking a picture of my server name incase a game crash happens again.

Is it possible to get information on painting our dinos on xbox ? I havent got the spray gun yet but on pc i see you use the brush... And that doesnt work sooo
