ARK: Survival Evolved Forum

Hello All

I have a small Private Server on which i play with a Friend. We both don't have "that" much time to play... So that is why we need some help.

We want to set up a Nice Base Camp but don't have the time to search the hole map. I don't even know what is important for us, except beeing close to water and food sure helps. Maybe not encoutering a Sabertooth right away helps too....

We are now on the S1 Spawn point.

I'd recommend the big hill/peninsula at 15,66 or so right where N3 spawn is shown at http://www.ark-survival.net/files/2015/ ... wn_map.png
Some dinos spawn on the shore and some closer to the forest S of that spot, but the hill itself stays mostly empty, so it will be safe.
There is a nice bay right there for your water dinos. Carno island is not far if you want to hunt high level carnos/rexes/argents.
It's not far from a mountain for sabers and some iron to start you off. Easy to tame an itchy and take it west to the glaciers for some starter crystal, without having to go far up the mountains. It's close to 2 underwater caves. Not that far from big iron deposits on mountains.
