Playing on XBO; Can I host on PC?

New to the game.

I was looking into setting up a dedicated server to get a few buddies involved and make a tribe. I don't suppose it would be possible to host a server on a PC and have the XBOs check in there would it? Don't really feel like dropping $300 on another console just for that. :?

So far, it appears that it's a big fat no. :(

Why can't we have Win10/XBLive talking to each other on a bigger scale yet?
