They added a bunch of new servers for the Xbox, YEA! Now the servers always pop up and I even tried a new server out. But for the last 24 hours now all I get is the frozen "Joining session" screen. The whole game locks down and you have to manually close the game and re-launch, only to have the exact same thing happen over and over again. When I went to buy this game I read the warning saying I should only buy the game if I understood that it was incomplete and may never be finished, and I was ok with that. BUT I thought I would at least be able to play it. What is the hardest, most frustrating part of Ark? The PVP where people are real assholes? Nope. The dinos killing you as soon as you spawn in? Nope. It is actually getting into the game that sucks. I didn't mind paying $35 for an incomplete game, but I would like to be able to play it. Is there any official word on when it might be fixed? I saw nothing here talking about it. Guess I will look for there official page or something.

If you find a solution, please mind to tell me. My cousin and me were playing on an Offical Server for some hours. We disconnected and wanted to continue playing after a while, both of us now have the same problem as you. We can only play if we Host a Game and invite each other. Problem here is that on a Hosting Game, the Host himself has a Radius, other players see that very clearly after some hundred metres, I dunno who had the Idea for it, but for me it doesn't make any sense. I hope a udate is soon out that will fix that stuff.

Last night I left the game on the "frozen" joining session for like a hour and when I came back I was able to click on "join game" and I got in. But today I can't seem to get in. If I ever stop having problems I will leave a reply here. Good luck.

My brother, my friend and myself are all having the same issue. We have tried to log onto servers that have room and the same thing happens. It takes about 3-5 minutes to try and join a session, then it goes to the server list screen with "joining session" over it and it just sits there. At this point the game is literally unplayable to us. I haven't tried to leave it there for a long period of time but I am going to reinstall the game and see if that helps...

Let me know if reinstalling helps. I have my games on a 4 tb hard drive. Today took me a little over a hour to get in, about a hour into playing the game crashed and now I am back at the "joining session" screen. Yesterday took me over 2 hours to get in because after about 1 hour of the "joining session" screen it allowed me to hit join game. But the game was full so it was "a" button, left, left, "a" button, but after about 40 to 60 tries I accidentally hit "a" button, left, "a" button so it refreshed and I had to wait out the "joining session" screen again for close to a hour. It is retarded.

I have been having the same issue. It took over four hours trying the other night before I just stopped trying.
I have hard reset the xbone, reset my internet, toggled my online status on and off, made sure my NAT is open, and sacrificed a goat trying to get this to work (no goats were harmed). The only success I've had is going into my dedicated server first then quitting to the main screen and going to the regular server list. Even then I have enjoyed limited success. If the game server is full it gives me only three tries at spamming my way in. After the three tries I must quit to the xbone home screen and start the process all over again. I hope they address the connectivity issues soon. This game is fun to play...when I actually get to play it.

I have the same issue. I will load the servers and hit join and then I'm stuck in this joining session limbo for anywhere from 10 minutes to 4 hours. I had seemed to fix it by switching which connection I used but it has started all over again. PLEASE can we get a response on this. Its awful and unfair

I haven't found the fix, but I believe I isolated the problem. Been trying to figure out the fix when I noticed it.

I believe it's another UI hiccup, its not the problem of joining servers, but the problem of refreshing servers. I only got to test this once, and it seems to be so because I can't retest it because it's stuck refreshing.

If you are able to cancel the refreshing of servers, or wait until the option goes back to refresh, you should have no problems joining a server. But, as I cannot get it to stop refreshing after my trials and error after trying to find a fix, I thought why not let it find all the servers and it worked, that one time.

So I believe it's similar to searching for servers bug when the game came out on Xbox, its still present, just further on.

As said above, some fixes might include restarting your modem/router, switching the ports of your Ethernet cable if its hardwired has worked for me once.

But, if we can figure out a sure fire way to get the server browser to either stop loading more servers, or let it fully load, I believe we can all join servers no problem.
