ARK: Survival Evolved Forum

I am new to Ark and I am playing on the xbox one. I really like the game so far but how do I join a tribe? My friend and I were playing on a private match (I think) and he sent me a request to join his tribe but I can't join. When I walk up to him there is no option. He pressed Y and had an option to invite me but I don't have any option when i look at him.

Can anyone help with this or let me know what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

The quote below is off of the wiki page but dosen't work for me. Do I have some settings off or is it just a bug?

"To accept a Tribe invitation, bring up the interaction menu on the person that invited you and hold your cursor over the invitation until the timer is up to accept. "

My brother and I also noticed this, the interaction menu (Holding Y on the Player) does not show up as an option for the user that is Hosting the Game. We tested with me hosting the game and ny brother hosting the game and had the same results both times.

looks to be an issue with the hosting user.

yea I was hosting the game so that makes since. So it is a glitch than I assume, wonder if there is any work around.

i guess we could join a multiplayer server and then neither of us would be the host and that should work. thanks
