Change how drowning While offline works please!

Something needs to be done about drowning while offline.
I play on a hardcore server and i got to level 56, had 400 points in oxygen, and i got disconnected while walking through a small body of water. It was practically a puddle.
I logged back on as fast as i could (them loading times) but my character had drowned.
I understand that making it so you could never drown while offline ever could be abused, I think that keeping stuff to be somewhat believable in the game world is a good thing. However I think at the very least if your body floats to the surface it should be able to breath on its own at the surface of the water while you are offline.
The way it is now I don't even want to go underwater in a hardcore server because i know if I dc at any time then its game over.
I would also like too see some sort of feature where if you go offline you will not fall off your dinos and they will try and protect you. So if you are on an underwater dino and you dc it will float to the surface carrying you up and keep you safe from other dinos.
