Gliding suits

I've been riding on my argentavis, Atlas, for a while, searching for new lands up above in the sky, when it came to mind that I wanted to fly/glide beside Atlas. My friend remarked that there were parachutes for that, but wouldn't it be cool if you didn't have a huge piece of cloth floating above you, and you could glide freely through the skies beside your flying mount?
I think this'd be a cool addition to the game, and it could be created with 2 metal ingots, 30 hide and 35 fiber or something of that matter. The looks of the gliding suit would be similar to the one Hiccup uses in HTTYD (How To Train Your Dragon), thus where my idea sprouted from.
The gliding suit, as its name says, would let you glide through the air slowly, which I think would be absolutely cool to ride beside a flying mount.
That said, with the armor layout, it'd have to come in four pieces, or five. The head area could have a helmet similar to the chitin helmet, the torso area could have the main part of the gliding suit, where most of the gliding-... stuff is, the legs area could have tight pants (I have no idea), the feet area could have boots and the hands area could have hide gloves.
Anyhow, that's just an idea I had, and I think it'd be fun to incorporate it into the game. Let me know your feedback on this idea, so I can possibly make it better!
