Since I am the type of player, I like to collect everything. This included creatures, blueprint/recipes, engrams, you name it.
That being said I have a lot of tamed creatures and I plan on getting many more.
I have a specific set of creatures that I use constantly for farming berries, wood, stone, etc...
I also have another team that I use for fighting. You get the picture.
I would really like to see a way that you could set specific pets to an assignable teams and allowing a hotkey to call/stop that specific group. Additional assignable whistle sounds attached would also add a really nice touch to the game environment. (by assigned team not necessarily pet specific)
I would leave the current whistle wheel in tact, but have the additional hotkey-assignable whistle wheel containing: Follow All, Stop All, Attack This Target, Attack My Target, Flee**, Passive/Neutral (Toggle, not individual), Assign to Team, Remove from Team. Have the new hotkey assigned wheel independent of the original.
**And one last note on whistles, the lack of this one has gotten creatures killed by the thousands I am sure...
A whistle command to Flee and/or cease-fire.

I like this idea. Me and some friends were discussing something similar where you can get a dino to gather in a certain area or even "send home" order. thoughts? too far/too easy?
Re: Assign Whistle Commands to Tamed Creatures to Form Teams
Yeah, I like the idea of being about to set a point in which dino's could retreat to or some sort of "Patrol" area to reduce wandering to far, if they get to far outside of the area they could return to it.
I don't think sending them home on their own is to far fetched since they ultimately are completely vulnerable along the way. To make it a little less effective, could even make em travel so far at a time, then wander a bit to find their bearings before going further.
I am also thinking a friendly feeding bin would make an excellent "leash". For an example, if you lose a dino out in the wild, after a duration... possibly 1-2 days of in game time... without any friendly interaction (whistles, on follow, nearby friendly dino interaction, ect...) they would attempt to return to the nearest friendly feeding bin (think of it like a lost puppy finding it's way home). Of course they would be completely vulnerable to elements along the way.
I did hear that they are planning on adding group whistles in the future, so i am definitely looking forward to that!

I would like this feature too
Re: Assign Whistle Commands to Tamed Creatures to Form Teams
I totally agree with you, i really hate it now to use the "follow all" command and all animals included tribe animals start following all together.
I was thinking of a "follow and stop all" command for only the animals ive picked out and ar following me at that moment.
But your idea with "teams" is even better.
But still, im very much enjoying this game and will be for a very long time.
(played SOF2 for 8 or 9 years) this game could break that record !

I agree with everything above.
