Building Moats

It would be fantastic if one could dig a moat around a base for extra defense (fill it with Sarcos). Currently there is no way to make a small pond or a water source to store aquatic dinos. The ability to build a small pond or even a pool for ones aquatic beasts could be nice for those who like aesthetic base building.

That's not supported by the engine unfortunatly. Most likely we'll never be able to edit the terrain ingame.

I figured as much, but what about an above ground pool or similar structure that can be filled with water?

Don't really see that happening either. It's not like you can drag your Megalodon from the sea, through the forest, into a water basin in your base. And then drag him back every time you want to take him out to sea.

You could technically build over one of the inlets thereby creating a gamemade mote. You could then tame megladons, sarco's, piranha etc to keep in the waters the enemy would have to swim through. Just food for thought, might not be exactly what you're looking for but maybe close.
