Dinosaurs drowning

I have lost probably about half of my dinos from drowning. The first time I was stupid and didn't realize my dilos would drown while i was crafting on the shore and they were in the water up to their necks. Then it happened again when i was on my turtle swimming along the shore, my recently tamed ankylo drowned from standing in shallow water, I guess its because his head is low to the ground. I lost a raptor jumping over rocks in a lake he ran out of stamina and wasn't able to recover because he was in the water so he drowned. I lost a pterodactyl not to drowning, but he fell into the water while we were flying and I was unable to get close enough to him in order to tell him to follow me, even though I was practically humping it, a T-rex then attacked and knocked him away. It didn't actually die, we never got a message that it did, but it just vanished. The most recent issue I had is my scorpion got stuck on a spiked barricade that we had in very shallow water and it drowned because it kept rubber-banding back onto the barricade after we would ride it a short distance away. Something needs to be changed with the dinos when it comes to their interaction with the water. they shouldn't be able to drown so easily when they get stuck in the water. If anything the dinos should just be forced to surface if they run out of oxygen or be unable to drown in water that they can stand in.
