Cant rename my char or my pets

Since I purchased the game I cannot name my chars or pets, whenever I have the cursor ready to go the keyboard wont pop up. I have also tried using smartglass for this as well. anything you can do to help would be awesome!

I am having this same issue. I heard it's because we have usb's plugged into the xbox and its trying to detect those as external keyboards. My issue is I have the game saved on an external USB hard drive so I can't unplug it.
