Game crash while walking, now unable to load game at all

Hi There.
I was playing local, carrying a torch in my hand at night, and heading towards a river when the game froze, and produced this error message:

Now when I attempt to load back into my local game, I get the following error. I can get into the main menu fine, etc, but when I attempt to load my local ARK I get the error and the game crashes.
