No, characters are saved server-side.

Re: Hi there, new to ark!

Welcome, make sure to check the Community Servers, finding a server you like is probably a good start to finding new friends. :)

Re: Supply Beam Drops

Nope, not yet anyway. Hopefully that's something that gets added in the future.

Re: Building Moats

Don't really see that happening either. It's not like you can drag your Megalodon from the sea, through the forest, into a water basin in your base. And then drag him back every time you want to take him out to sea. :)

Re: Building Moats

That's not supported by the engine unfortunatly. Most likely we'll never be able to edit the terrain ingame.

What's the manufacturer and model name of your router?

Re: Server working, steam says not responding.

Normally your router should have an option to send all traffic for certain ports (in this case 7777 and 27015) to a specific computer inside your own network.

Re: Server working, steam says not responding.

Most likely a port forwarding issue. Make sure ports 7777 and 27015 are opened on the router (and your firewall) and forwarded to your server.

Re: Steam Account

You don't need to be logged into steam on the server, so you don't need a 2nd account.
