I'd recommend the big hill/peninsula at 15,66 or so right where N3 spawn is shown at http://www.ark-survival.net/files/2015/06/ark_spawn_map.png Some dinos spawn on the shore and some closer to the forest S of that spot, but the hill itself stays mostly empty, so it will be safe. There is a nice bay...

I'd be happy if dinos simply remembered where they were placed and went back to those spots after attacking something.
